I love you kids

Today I am thinking of regret: all the times I haven't handled friction the way I want to, where I've lost my cool, where I've gotten upset or angry instead of just left the room. I hope both my children know, when they read this as adults, that I have loved them so deeply; any flaws are mine. Today I am to do better and be better because these are magical children. Julian, with his creative energy that sparks off him like a toy car driving too fast on a path. His mind is magnificent to watch. He's outrageously creative, comedically gifted, intelligent, charismatic, fun to be around, kind. Zoë, with her good heart that she shows everyone first, sometimes to her own detriment. Loyal, sweet, and a girl who wakes up literally singing, music dancing in the air around her. But she also happens to be a gorgeous artist and singer, is intellectual and curious. I've done the best I can but sometimes I fall short. Regardless, they are amazing. They are my life's passion.
