Jimi Hendrix

Here is Jimi Hendrix's number one fan, contemplating the lyrics to his own album. Thanks to Anne for the tee! Posted by Picasa

Memory Lane

I came across this old photo of Julian, taken when he was around 10 months, almost a year ago. Isn't he cute? Posted by Picasa

Julian's girlfriend

It was Ashley's second birthday party the other day, and Julian likes her. She is rather smitten with him and will often approach with a hug and a kiss. He can act aloof, but this photo tells a different story, as the two seem quite comfortable in a domestic setting. (Julian is a SNAG - he's cooking!)

Mind you, he's not nearly as forward with Ashley as he was with an 18 month old in the park. Seeing this little pixie in her just-off-the-plane-in-a-new-outfit-from-Paris getup (really), he approached her with the direct word "kiss." He then leaned forward and waited. She promptly complied, and the two locked lips (yes, on the lips!) about five times, hugging each other tightly, before letting go. It was cute. Perhaps not so much if he was 16. You gotta get to know a person first. Posted by Picasa

Two cute stories

Every family has them: those cute little stories about your kids that you keep telling long after they turn 21. Julian gave us two of those today. First, we spoke on the phone to his great-aunt Mick (Miriam), and I said to Julian, "say hello Mick." He got on the phone and said, "Hello music." I had forgotten that Julian refers to music as "mick!" He never says hello on the phone, but loves music, so he must have gotten feverishly excited that music was on the phone for him!

Second cute anecdote: today I was pinching his fat red cheeks and said to him, "Julian, your cheeks are so soft. How can mummy get her cheeks so soft?" And he looked at me thoughtfully and said, "Cream."
