Happy Valentine's Day

 

Julian made this card for me, of his own accord, two weeks ago, and asked me to hide it until Valentine's Day. I'm not entirely sure how he knew Valentine's Day was coming up. So, I opened it today, to see his sweet message. He later told me, "You're not just my Valentine, you're the dream I dream of when I'm awake." Gosh, he really knows how to say the right things.

First day of Grade 1!

 

 

I think it was a successful re-entry into school today. I told Julian to look out for a new kid in the playground, the son of a couple I know. He told me that he went up to the kid at playtime, and asked him if he wanted to play together. Apparently there was a conversation about science. Then Julian told me: "I asked him about his feelings, and he told me he was feeling mostly happy but also a little bit sad. But he also had a big smile on his face all day, and it was a nice smile."
