My friend Aileen arrived from New York with her baby Grace and partner Sean in tow...Julian is obsessed with both the baby and Seah, although he loves Aileen, too!

Julian is cheeky and sweet, all at the same time, as illustrated by this photo. Sometimes he's still my baby, and sometimes - often, actually - I get a glimpse of the person he's becoming, a fully-fledged person in his own right, with such specific personality traits, likes and dislikes. He's got quite a hot head on him, but he is easily calmed if you are reasonable with him. He doesn't like being pushed; he needs gentle persuasion. He loves to laugh. He is always ready with a joke. He picks up everything. He is the most observant person I know, constantly noticing if I've changed something in a room, or on myself, no matter how small a detail it is. He is smart as a whip. Yesterday, I asked him the biggest number he knew. He said "26." Then David said, "What about 100?" He agreed, "Yes, that's bigger." And straight away, his mind set to work and he said, "One hundred and twenty six - that's a big number." I liked following the thought process.

After toiling on decorations for Zoe's party, I can't quite let the whole crafty thing go. So I've decided to make my friend a card/ stationery set for her birthday. Here it is. I don't know where I find time. Right now, I should be working on an 1100 word fashion article for the newspaper. But here I am, blogging...again.
