Julian’s hospital stint

Julian in for a procedure today. Unlikely to have the same effect as anaesthetic where he tipped his hat to a fellow patient and called him "soldier."
This is the culmination of a three week sickness period which has meant that Julian missed many things: not just school but Purim festivities (a dance that the VCE students had been practising for three months) and night before party, but more devastatingly, his workshop and performance for Top Class. He was invited, as one of the top 20 drama students, to give a speech (the only one chosen on his night) at the Arts Centre and he made it as far as stage door where his vomiting prevented him from going forward.

BUT he is taking it in his stride in a way that makes me proud. He is resilient, capable, good humoured and is behaving admirably.

Study in sickness

Julian missed purim celebrations and the top class workshop this week. That was a massive bummer but he remains good spirited, surprisingly so.
