The Dybbuk

Julian was the crew in his school production of Yiddish theatre performance The Dybbuk. I wish he had sold it better; I was expecting your garden variety school play and instead it was a sophisticated, nuanced production that was incredibly professional. It as staged in the drama room, and chandeliers lit up the space - the effect was dramatic and spooky. Julian was responsible for every effect that wasn't lighting - sound and special effects, for starters - and he gave up many weekends and evenings to be a part of it. I was truly proud.
