Kate Ceberano

One of the coolest events I ever went to is one where Julian got to join. To launch her new album, Kate Ceberano did a very small and private gig in an upstairs loft space in Chapel Street - a space owned by artist David Bromley. The room looked very Bachanalian feast-y: a long table laden with sumptuous food, flowers and candles, artwork everywhere. It was very special for Julian to hear Kate perform, and since her daughter Gypsy is close in age to Julian, she was very happy to meet him. Plus, I have known Kate for awhile, and she remembers when I was pregnant with Julian and how hard I tried to get him.
